The A&P 2023 TEAM GI White is a monochrome Brazilian Jiu Jitsu kimono built around the fictional sports team story of “TEAM 23.” The design combines martial arts uniform structure with classic team-sport visual details, using bold block numerics, contrast striping, AP embroidery, and a clean white-and-black color scheme.

The White colorway was included in the 2023 Albino and Preto Reserve membership package. This version is identified by the “RESERVE” wording on the Albino & Preto label at the bottom of the lapel. The Reserve package also included an exclusive tee and a black version of the hooded parka.

Design Story

The TEAM 23 collection uses neutral black and white tones to express balance through the idea of duality. The color direction connects with the yin and yang philosophy, where black and white can represent contrast, movement, stillness, peace, chaos, love, and conflict. This gives the gi a simple visual language while keeping the design meaningful and athletic.

The kimono features bold TEAM 23 sports-inspired details, including large black number appliques, contrast sleeve stripes, black lapel trim, AP embroidery, and woven label details. The overall look is minimal, but the placement of the numerics and striping gives the gi a strong team-uniform identity.

Fabric and Construction

The kimono top is made with a 450GSM Pearl Weave fabric, giving the jacket a structured feel suitable for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training. The pants are 10oz cotton A&P NOVO pants, finished with contrast design details such as black numerics, lower-leg striping, AP embroidery, and athletic-style trim.
